In this article, we detail the simple steps for you to add someone (called a user) to your Google Analytics account. You will be able to select different roles and permissions for each users so that you can limit the access of people from either your team or our one.

LOGIN TO YOUR ANALYTICS ACCOUNT
First you will have to login to your Google analytics account. Very often this account will be the same as your general Google account but if, for some reasons, you have added your website on Google Analytics using another account you will have to login with that one first.
How can I see that I logged in with the correct user?
Go to the google homepage and simply click on the image or icon on the top right to see which email address is in use. See our screenshot below:
Once logged into your account, you will have to follow the link below to log into the Analytics section of Google.
ACCESS THE USER PANEL IN GOOGLE ANALYTICS
Now that you are logged in to your Google Analytics account, you will need to access the user section.
To do that, you would need to go to the "Admin" tab from the homepage of your Google Analytics account.
Once in the Admin panel, you will be able to see the "User Management" section under the ACCOUNT column.
You will need to click there.
Add Permission for a User
To do this, you would first need to add the email address of the person/company that you want to give access to. In our case you will need to add firstname.lastname@example.org
The next step will be to select the permission level of the person you are inviting to your account. If you are working with an agency, best is to give them an "Edit" access which will be needed to create reports and enhance your Analytics configuration. If you just need someone to see your data, a "Read & Analyse" account will be enough.
Finally, best will be to select the "Notify this user by email" just so the person is notified that an access has been granted to them.
You can now "add" the user
